The Council offers grants and subsidies for self-employment and local businesses

El mayor of Economic Development of the Town hall Jávea, Juan Luís Cardona, has announced today a new municipal aid project in order to promote self-employment and the improvement of companies in the municipality of Jávea. The project is aimed at unemployed people or businessmen who carry out improvement actions in their business premises during the year. Entrepreneurs will be eligible for a maximum grant of 2.000 euros, money that will help in the investments needed to launch their business projects and social security expenses. To be eligible for these aids, it is necessary to be registered in Jávea at least since January 1, 2013 and be registered as self-employed as of January 2 and maintain the activity for at least six months.

In the case of small and medium-sized companies, financial assistance will be provided to those companies that carry out actions to adapt their establishment to the external image as well as the conditioning and reform of the premises, acquisition of new furniture or computer equipment or replacement of existing advertising signs with more aesthetic or integrated ones. All those who wish to submit their applications to qualify for these grants, may do so from the end of the month, which will be when the terms are opened for a period of time that will last until October 31. As noted Juan Luís Cardona, a total of EUR 23.000 is the departure of the planned aid. He has also pointed out that there are other 12.000 euros for the Joint Employment Plan promoted by the Provincial Council of Alicante and the Generalitat who has joined Jávea. The latter project will provide 1.125 euros aid to companies hiring unemployed in the municipality for at least three months and with a minimum day 25 hours per week.
