Education of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell finances the 100% of extracurricular activities

The Department of Education has organized different extracurricular activities to mark the beginning of the continuous day in the school. Creative, language, sports and relaxation activities are some of the options to be realized by the children of Benitatxell with which it is intended to promote the development of sensitivity, peace, expression of emotions and confidence in oneself as the yoga, the theater and the workshop art attack.

All extracurricular activities, which will be carried out in the Santa María Magdalena CEIP will be free as they are funded to 100% by the Department of Education by Myra Van't Hoff. The activities are aimed at fostering the creativity, inner strength and self-esteem of schoolchildren.

Objectives of the activities

There will also be a workshop on early stimulation and psychomotricity for children in Early Childhood Education that promotes play and motor activities while encouraging good motor, emotional and intellectual development.

Play English is a fun and interactive program for children to learn English with games and songs, without textbooks. The multi-sport workshop will develop the motricity, coordination and control of the body with activities such as cricket, bowling, volleyball, soccer and basketball.

"We all know how important extracurricular activities are to complement the education of our children. Therefore, from the Education deparment I wanted to make available to families various activities that cover the possible needs of our children, from sports to theater without forgetting artistic education. All our sessions will be sequenced and structured with the aim of motivating the children and continue to learn through a didactic methodology in which the game will have a fundamental role " has pointed out the Councilor for Communication, Myra Van't Hoff.

Operation of new activities

Activities begin on 2 in October and end 31 in May and take place at the end of dining hours, between 15: 45 to 16: 45 hours. Each student will have the right to enjoy two different activities free of charge.

The coordinator of the project will be Sandra Vidal Extremera, a graduate in Pedagogy, who will manage and organize all the staff and activities. The coordinator together with the Department of Education can suppress any activity that does not exceed eight students and expand the training offer if there is demand for an activity proposed by the parents.
