19 December 2021 - 06: 04

Being among the best is one of the main goals of many chefs. The quality of the product, the creativity and the meticulous preparation of a dish are some of the factors that bring this special recognition to a restaurant.

The renowned red guide, that is, the Michelin Guide Spain & Portugal 2022, unveiled, earlier this week, its selection of restaurants at the gala held in Valencia. Among the new winners, the name Xàbia did not come out, but in this town, three of the Michelin Stars already reign with Bon Amb Restaurante, two and Tula, one.

Both restaurants are among the best, but sometimes the accolade isn't everything. In this case, the simple fact of being part of one of the gastronomic guides is already a recognition of work, dedication and quality.

And, the Michelin Guide 2022 includes two restaurants in Xàbia among its recommendations. Tosca Restaurant y La Perla de Jávea They do not have, at the moment, a Michelin Star, but their merit is reflected in the renowned guide that includes, in this new edition, a total of 1.362 restaurants in Spain, Portugal and the Principality of Andorra.

Traditional and Mediterranean food are two of the factors that stand out in these restaurants. Both located in the Playa del Arenal; La Perla de Jávea offers traditional cuisine specialized in rice dishes, with up to 14 varieties, and fish from the market, while Tosca is based on modern Mediterranean cuisine.

With four restaurants highlighted in the Michelin Guide, Xàbia remains on the map as a culinary benchmark.
