Four exclusive and six partial dedications in the Xàbia government: the cost of the new corporation

The recently formed government of Xàbia has revealed details about the costs associated with its structure, whose total spending will be very similar to that of the previous government. The total budget is 392.858 euros, compared to 391.648 euros for the socialist government in the last legislature. Today's plenary session has approved the operating regime of the collegiate bodies and the salary regime of the 21 councilors of the corporation for the next 4 years.

Among the most outstanding assignments are the four exclusive dedications: that of the mayoress, whose remuneration reaches 50.000 euros per year, and that of Enrique Escrivà, Teresa Legay and Pere Sapena, who will receive an allowance of 45.000 euros a year each.

In addition, the government will be made up of six part-time members. Mavi Pérez will obtain dedication of 80% (36.000 euros), while Juanjo García, juanlu cardona, Juan Ortolá y Jose Marcos Pons will receive 70% (31.500 euros) and Fatima Jarjor 55% (24.750 euros). For its part, Tony Molina He will receive remuneration for attendance (21.108 euros) due to his disability pension.

For their part, councilors without a delegation will receive a maximum of 979 euros per month and opposition spokesmen, José Chulvi and Carme Catalá, will receive 1.350 euros per month, as long as they attend the commissions and plenary sessions called.

Lastly, the positions of trust that will be part of the team and their remuneration will be for the Chief of Staff, who will receive an allocation of 35.000 euros, followed by the press officer with 30.000 euros. Likewise, there will be collaborators in key areas, such as the Mayor's Office and Institutional Promotion (30.000 euros), Culture and Festivals (28.000 euros), Security and Emergencies (28.000 euros), and Tourism and the Water Cycle (28.000 euros). Finally, the Fiestas technician will also receive 28.000 euros.

The Contracting Table is left without politicians

One of the matters that has been approved has been the delegation of powers proposed by the mayoress, Rosa Cardona, in favor of the councilors of the PP, CpJ and Vox, as well as the composition of the governing board, the information commissions-Special Accounts / Urbanism, Works and Services / Economic Revitalization / Culture, Education and Sports, which will be four and in which the representation will be 4-4-1-1-1, PSPV, PP, Citizens for Jávea, Vox and Compromís.

In addition, there will be no politicians at the contracting table, since according to the government spokesman, Enrique Escrivá, "the local government does not want to influence the decisions of the municipal technicians who make up the hiring tables, since it trusts them one hundred percent."

The agreements have gone ahead with the votes of the local government, for their part PSPV and Compromís have abstained on all points.

The PSPV spokesman, José Chulvi, remarked during his speech at the point of debate on the salaries of the councilors and eventual staff that the proposal that is approved "is an amendment to the entire arguments that the government parties made in 2019. They have made an exact copy of those that we took for approval in that year ». He also added "we are not criticizing salaries, we are criticizing the lack of consistency."

For her part, the spokeswoman for Compromís, Carme Català, has indicated that she did not want to assess wages and salaries, but has commented "the salaries will depend on the work that the government does and it will be when that work is seen when the work can be valued done".

Meanwhile, the government spokesman, Enrique Escrivá, has highlighted that there is a technical report that places the cost of the new government in the same terms as the previous one, "if we count the cost of councilors and positions of trust, the cost is same".
