04 June 2021 - 12: 17

The hiring table of the Javea Town Hall held this morning has proposed to award the service of assistance, rescue, first aid and land medical transport on the beaches and their surroundings to Red Cross Xàbia.

The entity has obtained 99'99 points out of the 100 possible, 60 of them for its technical project for the provision of the service (the organization, human resources, materials, equipment and improvements) and the rest for the economic proposal: 448.569 euros regarding to the 453.100 from which the tender started.

The contract, for two years extendable to two more, resizes this service to the current trends in beach use, so the positions will be active until October and next year they will be set up in May. It also takes into account the current health situation, with specifications in the material, characteristics of the aid stations and the organization of the team according to the regulations on Covid prevention.

Red Cross has opted to offer all the qualifying improvements; both in materials such as defibrillators, a support kayak, an amphibious chair and the medication of the posts; as in the creation of a bag of overtime to attend unforeseeable situations and complementary services such as transportation and care for people with functional diversity on the beaches, search systems for missing persons) or the implementation of a comprehensive service management system and computer tools and Apps.

After the award proposal, the Red Cross will have to provide all the required documentation and then the contract will be signed with the intention that the service can start up as soon as possible.

Security surveillance and access control

The contracting table has also proposed the award to the company Vectalia the service of security surveillance and access control on the beaches for 95.872'66 euros. Through this contract, the capacity of the Arenal and La Grava beaches will be controlled, as well as the coves. granadella, Portitxol or Barraca y Ambolo -clausurated to the bathroom and -as a novelty- the Cala Blanca.

We also want to start providing this service as soon as possible to activate the barrier that closes access to Granadella y Barraca when its capacity is full and thus avoid traffic jams or problems or security in your environment.

In July the control system will already be active in all points of the coast and on a daily basis.
