Compromis per Xàbia: «We continue to occupy uncontrolled territory. We cannot continue building the mountain »

17 December 2020 - 15: 49

The situation of urban planning in Xàbia has been historically peculiar, partly due to the wide extension of its municipal area and due to a determined commitment to the town hall and builders for the extensive occupation of land through urbanizations and villas. This fact has caused major problems when it comes to providing services and equipment to these developments, as well as facilitating mobility beyond the car.

But this urban model collides with the current trend spread throughout Europe to move towards more compact, sustainable and accessible cities for citizens.

For this reason, it is why the Valencian formation alerts of the need to change the direction of urban planning in Xàbia and adapt the municipality to European requirements for the year 2030.

Regarding this issue, the Valencian spokesman, Juan Cardona, has stated that “We continue to do the same as we did 20 and 30 years ago, we continue to occupy territory without control and without a real planning of the city model that is wanted. We cannot continue building the mountain while we have unfinished urban centers and empty houses ”.

To which the mayor has added that "Xàbia has real problems in terms of mobility, the environment, urban management and access to housing. If we do not take the new General Plan seriously and set a clear objective, we run the risk of never leaving this loop. We have the opportunity to rehabilitate and reform urban centers. "

Finally, the Valencian mayor Vicent Colomer Has stated that “We must meet the objectives of the 2030 Agenda and move towards a friendlier, greener and above all more compact city. And for this, the PGE must comply with the Valencian Territorial Strategy, which according to reports from the Department of Territory is not being fulfilled, which deeply worries us ”.

I fully agree, in this case, with Compromís. This is a nameless constructive riot. In a few years we will see some leaders in the courts, and if not in time (that justice is very slow)

What does more compact mean? More heights? I hope not. All over the world people build with empty houses, another thing is to build houses and mixed car workshops, it is not known whether it is a residential area or an industrial estate. as was done on the Pla road. The urban planning of Javea is non-existent, but there is a good part of the people who think that you have to build whatever it takes to provide local work, and that's been done for decades. It is the outsiders who do not want developmentalism because they do not live off the local economy, but the biggest enemies of containing construction are inside. The problem is to define what the people of Jávea are going to live on, and conclude that building more and more is not.

But what can you ask a city council that before building a Hospital makes an Auditorium, without finishing, or a Swimming Pool, or buys Windmills ??!
What can be asked if Jávea is flooded and Chulvi continues to build in the area?
    What?
This is cool Democracy of death, delicious Socialism, through the vein.

Totally agree, respecting the forest and the environment for the future and for everyone, should be a priority over the business of some
      Thank you very much

We could start by blowing up the Aduanes skyscraper ...
Javea is ugly, horrible, it's a shame.
As a tourist, I prefer Greece, and I don't go back to Javea. Eat the empty floors.
