The spokesperson for Ciudadanos Xàbia, Enrique Escrivá, proposed, to the government team, in the first plenary session of 2020 three issues related to the environment, transparency and beaches. Escrivá demanded that for the next municipal budgets an item be consigned to carry out an annual control and monitoring for the coming years, of the state of conservation of the Posidonia meadows, as well as of other species of marine flora and fauna of our coast, “To continue claiming the natural value of our environment and to value the work done by the Fundació de l'Oceanogràfic on the wealth of our seabed, picking up the glove launched by the Foundation itself by pointing out that now it is the Administrations to whom it's time to monitor the underwater flora ”, Escrivá said.
The mayor of Ciudadanos was also interested in the state of Cala Ambolo de Xàbia and the actions that are being carried out by the government team with the different Administrations, to end the risk of landslides and the reopening of this tourist enclave in full security conditions as soon as possible, from a cove that has come to be in the ranking of the 50 best beaches in Europe.
Regarding transparency, the C's Xàbia spokesperson proposed that the Javea Town Hall publish on the Transparency Portal the cost of travel and travel expenses carried out by the public offices of the City Council in the exercise of their functions, outside the Valencian Community, detailing the amounts in expenses of locomotion, accommodation, maintenance and protocol expenses, as indicated by the law of Transparency, Good Governance and Citizen Participation of the Valencian Community.
Escrivá said that the City Council must comply with its obligation to inform and publicize its public action, also spreading its costs, such as those derived from the participation of Xàbia in different events.
