The followers of Ciudadanos por Jávea have been faithful to their party. The independent formation revalidates its two councillors. Mavi Pérez y Juan Ortolá will be the ones representing CpJ in the Town hall by obtaining 10,75% of the votes, that is, a total of 941.
However, Ciudadanos por Jávea has become the third force with the most votes in Xàbia, behind PSOE and PP, and the lack of an absolute majority in these two parties makes them the key to the next government.
Xàbia needs a pact to govern and the key is held by Ciudadanos por Jávea, "we are aware that Xàbia has spoken and we are also aware of the message of change that he has sent us", said Mavi Pérez, candidate for mayor of Xàbia by CpJ.
Pérez added that "we are aware from Ciudadanos por Jávea, that at a time of cycle change throughout the Spanish State, Xàbia has decided that we stay and that we have the key to the future local government, so we assume that message from the total responsibility and from the work commitment that I assumed when I accepted to be the head of this list".
Thus, and before possible agreements, the number 1 of Ciudadanos por Jávea points out that "from the beginning we have said that our program is the basis on which we want to work and the starting point of all our conversations."
Citizens for Jávea governed, these last two years, together with the PSOE, carrying out the departments of Citizen Security, Heritage and Markets, but this fact does not confirm that they will unite again. Now it's time to wait. There are 15 days left of meetings and work for the different parties.
