The government team of the Provincial Council of Alicante has accepted the amendment to the budget presented by José Chulvi, Spokesman for the Socialist group, to use the 50% of the remaining cash for an investment plan in Alicante towns.
The city councils of this province will have in the 2016 with an Investment Plan of the Diputación de Alicante, whose endowment could be around 20 million euros.
Chulvi, socialist spokesman for the council, said during the full budget, which will use the money to the surplus of the institution, of which 50% for the Provincial Plan, financially sustainable municipal investments will go.
The xabiero politician said he was "half satisfied"Since, for now, it has not been possible to obtain approval of another of the pillars on which the package of amendments to the budget was based, such as the inclusion in the budget of an Employment Plan for vulnerable groups, for young people and for older 45 years.
This plan, together with the other eight that were part of the Social Emergency Plan proposed by the socialist group, and which did have the commitment of the government team to carry it out, would have meant for Chulvi "completing a budget that lacked social sensitivity, and somehow, we managed to improve".
Socialist leader's intention is to continue insisting the government team that during the course of next year can articulate this employment plan. This would help many citizens to increase their chances of getting a job and integrate again or for the first time in the case of many young people in the labor market.
The government team of the Provincial Government is committed to implement the incorporation of grants to municipalities aimed to implement plans for the reintegration of women victims of domestic violence; to alleviate energy poverty; one for housing rent subsidies for young people and social rents and maintenance aid for school meals in summer or semester.
The Socialist Group has finally opted for abstention at the point where the budget of the institution struggled. Chulvi explained the reasons "because clearly we had made a very different budget in terms of priorities, but we managed to start as important as the investment plan issue, and the commitment to include a significant number of proposals of social emergency plan under headings aid municipalities of this budget".
