Open letter from Juan Ortolà to José Chulvi

May 24 from 2019 - 15: 15

Here there are no victims or perpetrators, we criticize the management of the PSOE in Xàbia with foundation and in a good democratic fight, there is nothing personal against anyone.

This week I read in the press repeatedly phrases such as: "Chulvi does not understand the aggressiveness in the campaign Juan Ortolá”, “Chulvi declares that while others dedicate themselves to insulting us, disrespecting us and lying in order to desperately get a vote and that they have spoken more in 4 days than in 4 years in the Town hallWe are talking about ourselves and our proposals”. "They intend to make strange pacts...", and so on, add up and go on.

Given so much strategy victim, I see myself in the need to respond publicly to what you with apparent candor say you ignore.

Of course there is an upset in all the parties that we have been part of this last Corporation, in which we have suffered because of the way you have gone through our proposals, because you did not need our vote and I assure you, without acrimony but with pain, it is very frustrating, if it is also accompanied by self-complacency to proclaim that you are the guarantors of political stability.

The absolute majority gave you the possibility to carry out your program and incorporate proposals from others, that is to govern for all, and you have not done either one or the other. If you say that in Xàbia there are not two blocks like in Spain, why are you afraid of the pacts that you call strangers? They will be pacts to improve Xàbia outside the ideologies.

In the case of Ciudadanos por Jávea, I already advance the pacts that we are willing to sign, as said the politician of the transition Julio Anguita: "Program, program and more program". We will agree with whoever guarantees us that our program is carried out.

It is evident that in the elections of 2015 you got a lot of revenue from "all against Chulvi", and you profitably profited from your strategy, the work and the effort of a government team that we share, and in which, with successes and mistakes, yes, a climate of real stability was created.

What is now called roller, which you accompany with great phrases: "The councilors have the phone connected 24 hours a day", "There are councilors who work 24 hours a day", "we have never missed an act ...." . But the question is, what is the balance of your management and the degree of compliance with your program? You have improvised a lot and planned little. You have ruled to jump of kills.

Regarding the councilors of the Opposition, as you now say, we have not been; Of course we have been and we have tried to contribute ideas, but you have treated us as stone guests ignored by the host that you were the government team.

I describe to you the panorama that the opposition has faced in these 4 years: You took away the figure of the group secretary that always since Ciudadanos by Jávea participated in the Government, had been assigned to all the opposition groups so that they could supervise the management of the Municipal Government. If someone thinks it was to save, he is wrong. You hired 7 positions of trust at your disposal, and you have also had 4 full-time councilors and 7 part-time.

The councilors of the Opposition live from our work in private companies and we find it difficult to monitor the day to day of the government, and you have deprived us of having a group secretary to facilitate that function.

And finally, with respect to your words of "here there is an all against the PSOE that we do not know how it can end, it would not be the first time we see strange pacts", to tell you that it is not all about Chulvi, it is about supervising the municipal management of the 4 last years in which the Chulvi team has governed Xàbia.

Regarding strange pacts, if you reach political memory you will know that two have been made: one in the first democratic elections and signed by the Socialist Party and the Popular Party to snatch the mayor's office to the most voted party, the UCD with Soler Blasco in front ; and a few years later, another pact signed by PSOE, PP, Centristes and Bloc, to snatch the Mayor's office from the most voted list of the Unión Valenciana, a group from which Ciudadanos por Jávea came. How curious that in those two "strange pacts" that concern you, you have been
socialists

Ni Juan Ortolá ni Citizens for Jávea go against José Chulvi nor of the PSOE of Xàbia, we criticize in a democratic good fight the policies of the PSOE in these four years that suppose a setback for our town, and it will not silence us that you try to transfer to the citizenship that it is an attack to your person.

You have disposed of the machinery of power and a strong party, with means to make you hear, to us the electoral campaign gives us the opportunity and the tribune that we have lacked these 4 years to address the javienses and explain our proposal how manage the City Council.

Juan Ortolà, Candidate to the Mayor's Office of Jávea for Citizens for Jávea.
