Carme Català will be the candidate for Compromís for mayor of Xàbia

Compromís per Xàbia has opted for the young woman from the town, Carme Català, as head of the list for the next municipal elections. This is how it was announced, this afternoon, in an open act attended by the Deputy in Congress, Joan Baldoví and the candidates for the Cortes for Alicante, Mª José Calabuig and Gerard Fullana. The act of presentation of part of the list of candidates has been directed by the component of the Valencian formation of Xàbia, Quica Gil.

Català, 26 years old, will lead the Valencian candidacy that will be made up of young people and former members of the collective; but all of them with the same objective, to work to improve Xàbia. In the previous municipal elections, Carme Català was already among the first six candidates on the list and was part of the National Council of the formation.

Català has explained that he heads this list for various reasons, including fighting to carry out the great deficiencies that Xàbia has in cultural facilities (the world to which it belongs), "but also because of the need to improve educational facilities".

The candidate for mayor of Xàbia has thanked the support she has received from the Assembly to represent the formation "and make it add up". The Valencian formation has highlighted that it seeks to give citizens transparency.

The mayor is a flutist by profession and a transverse flute teacher in various music schools, and is also studying Professional Studies specializing in singing.
