The Poble Nou of Benitatxell bets, one more year, for experiential tourism. With the objective of seasonally adjusting the influx of visitors, energizing economic activity and showing the vineyards and a product as characteristic of the municipality as the BioMoscatell, the Department of Agriculture and Economic Promotion has prepared for the coming months of February, March, April and May the routes 'Taste the muscatell with the 5 senses', which last year had great success.
The itineraries aim to publicize one of the best resources of the municipality: its agricultural landscape and the process of cultivation and harvesting of the Muscat grape; in addition to offering a unique experience with all five senses. With the sight and the touch, the route will give the opportunity to prune and “dismantle” together with the farmers the vineyards of the BioMoscatell project on land with fabulous views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Montgo.
With the taste and smell you can taste muscat products, as well as the wine tasting that will take place later in the Municipal Market. Finally, with the ear you can enjoy the sounds of nature that surround the vineyards and that favor the obtaining of delicious wines, mistelas and raisins.
The routes, which will be in Valencian, Spanish and English, will cost 35 euros and will take place on Saturday, February 15, March 21, April 18 and May 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 14:30 p.m. As noted by the Councilor for Agriculture and Economic Development, Mayte Roldán, “We want the visitor to know the philosophy of the BioMoscatell project and to know that these previously abandoned fields are now active again thanks to the impulse of the agricultural sector, which has led to the creation of Moraig and Cova dels Arcs wines and muscatel juice”.
