The plenary session of the Consell de la Generalitat Valenciana has approved today the payment of the definitive liquidation on the part of the Consellería de Sanidad to the companies that are in charge to manage the center at the moment, that it is necessary to remember that it is a public center but of private management.
With the purchase, the Valencian Administration becomes the manager of the Marina Alta Hospital. After several attempts of acquisition, finally the operation of purchase of the Dénia Hospital is settled with the payment of 47,6 million euros, amount that corresponds with the economic debt that the Consell had contracted for the attentions that the Hospital has made to patients assigned to other departments and hospital pharmacy expenses between years 2009 and 2013.
The lack of resolution of this concession by the Ministry of Health could mean a delay in the acquisition of Dénia Hospital, delaying its purchase until the first semester of 2023.
