The Official Gazette of the Province has published the tender of the Javea Town Hall on a plan of actions for the prevention of forest fires and environmental and landscape restoration in the Monte de la granadella, Affected by a serious forest fire last year.
The companies interested in this contract, subsidized by the Diputación de Alicante with a budget of 250.000 euros, can present their offers during the next 26 business days. The award will assess the economic improvement of the proposal and concrete actions such as restoration of margins of shaking or improving from an environmental point of view, cutting and extraction of burned trees.
The action will be coordinated by the municipal Department of Environment and Services, as the company Tragsa Has been working until last week with a charge to state funding and the grant from the Valencian government worth 150.000 euros to replenish furniture and infrastructures that burned.
The work to be carried out has been determined and agreed at the working meetings held by technicians of the three public administrations. On the one hand, forestry works on fire prevention (clearing trees) are included in municipal lands not affected by the fire in areas bordering the access road to the Cala Granadella In 11,80 hectares; On the other, the cutting and treatment of the wood burned in the Umbria of Les Cansalades and, finally, the planting of new species more resistant to fire (carob and olive trees).
The duration of the work would be four months and are expected to start in the next month of September.
