A hundred people participate in the Rema en Rosa day of the Club Náutico Jávea

A hundred people participated this Sunday in the Rowing in Pink event organized by the Club Náutico Jávea and María Ferrer, with the special collaboration of Rotary Club Jávea, to spread the benefits of the sport of rowing among women, and in particular among those who suffer or have suffered from breast cancer.

The Rowing section headed by Valentina García organized different groups to go rowing in the two boats that the Club Nautico de Javea. In total there were about 80 people who went out to row under the orders of the coaches, Telmo Irigoyen and Francisco Martínez, with tours within the port of Xàbia and some exit to the area in front of the Grava beach. And it is that yesterday the sea presented a strong storm.

All participants were also able to perform warm-up exercises under the guidance of José Luis Boronat Roda and at the end they received a snack provided by the Rotary Club Jávea.

The person in charge of the Rowing section, Tenin García, thanked the initiative for its support since, apart from the people who came to row, “there were many who came to the Club to make a donation”. In addition, a large part of the participants have decided to enroll in the Rowing School.

For its part, María Ferrer, highlighted the importance of initiatives like this and after thanking the impulse of Tenin García and the Club Náutico Jávea, she wanted to highlight precisely that many people came "to contribute their bit for cancer research." In this sense, Ferrer bet that this day be repeated next year.

The Jávea Yacht Club and María Ferrer will announce in the coming days the amount of the amount collected for this solidarity day that will be allocated entirely to Incliva, one of the research institutes specialized in cancer treatments in the Community.
