Sabors de la Mar, the day to value the product of the fishermen's guilds of Xàbia

El Municipal Mercat de Xàbia On March 5, it will host the “Flavours of the Sea” event promoted by the Punt Nàutic del Creama together with the Department of Economic Dynamization, and which aims to disseminate seafood products and especially those that come from the brotherhoods of the region.

The day consists of a series of talks and a cooking show by Borja Susilla, owner of the Tula restaurant in Xàbia, which has 1 Michelin Star and 2 Repsol soles. The talks will revolve around fish in the Marina Alta (by Rafael Serrat and Amadeu Ros, from the Fishermen's Guild of Xàbia), restoration in the Marina Alta, given by José Manuel Piña (president of the Association of Restaurateurs of Xàbia); the mayor, Rosa Cardona, will be in charge of closing the day.

Organized by Punt Nàutic, one of the work areas of Creama, the Sabors de la Mar project is developed at the regional level, to support innovative initiatives that stimulate the great economic and latent potential in the maritime sector, as well as the revitalization and strengthening its most traditional aspect, such as fishing.

In this way, the formalization of agreements between entrepreneurs in the hospitality sector and fishermen's guilds is promoted for the use of what is known as reject fish or to increase the amount of local seafood served in school cafeterias.
