The municipal water company of Xàbia, Amjasa along with the Councilor for Children and the Consell dels Xiquets, they have distributed personalized canteens to schoolchildren in Xàbia. An action that is part of the second phase of the progrifo campaign promoted by the entity, Més aixeta i menys plàstic.
Today Thursday, May 9, the first canteens were distributed to the boys and girls of the schools: Graüll, Vicente Tena, Trenc d'Alba and Mary Immaculate. Likewise, it is planned that next week they will be delivered to the students of the Port de Xàbia and Arenal schools.
With this gesture, in which the students handed over a plastic bottle in exchange for a canteen, Amjasa encourages them to drink tap water and to make them aware of the need to reduce the use of plastic containers with a high ecological cost.
In total, AMJASA will distribute in total more than 2.000 refillable metal canteens that have a special design since it was chosen among the drawings contributed by the students.
