The Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of sailors, processioned yesterday morning, Saturday, through the bay of Xàbia. On the occasion of the Day of Carmen, the Xàbia fishing collective celebrated this day with a mass and the traditional seafaring procession.
After the solemn Eucharist, the Virgin, carried by the sailors, has paraded through the streets of Duanes de la Mar until her arrival at the fishing port where she has embarked on the Cap Prim Segon fishing boat accompanied by neighbors, authorities and several boats.
The seafaring procession has reached the vicinity of the Cala Sardinera where the usual floral offering has been carried out.
