From the town hall de Xábia, a total of 30.000 euros have been invested in the access and security improvements carried out in the surroundings of the beach of the granadella.
The intervention by the municipal brigades Municipal Employment Plan have been cleaning and suitability as a one-way street Pic Tort. This vial was opened over 40 years ago as access to housing had a precarious state. Now it retired vegetation invading the street and has filled it with tamped gravel in order to make it passable.
Vehicular traffic is ordered and now is upstream. A much needed solution serve as output from the cove in case of a fire or emergency.
With this improvement in the area it has also managed to provide more parking spaces so now they can park in that place between 60 and 70 vehicles. The Department of Environment has carried out improvement works in the old police station to the beach can be used as parking. This will be very useful given the large turnout of swimmers who has one of the preferred beaches by visitors.
New gazebo overlooking the cove and the Castell de la Granadella
Starting from a section of this road a pedestrian path of about 500 meters has been opened that ends in a new viewpoint in which a wooden fence has been installed as a security element. From there you can enjoy spectacular views over the cove, in addition to admiring the remains of the Castell Granadella.
