Xàbia colleges will host next week about 1850 students

By the Department of Education Javea Town Hall, the last maintenance works are being carried out in the primary schools of the municipality before the arrival of the new course 2014-2015. The new school year will start next Thursday with 1850 boys and girls enrolled, a number that is still provisional as requests keep coming.

empar Bolufer, mayor of education, has ensured that during the summer holidays the municipal brigade has fine-tuned the educational centers and has carried out painting work in the facilities and other works in the schools that needed it most. Works have also been undertaken, some of which are still underway, among which are the change of flooring in the main hall of La Escoleta, the change of toilets in the Trenc d'Alba school and the replacement of the shower trays in the changing rooms of the Vicente Tena.

The mayor of Education ensures that the latter two works has had to take the consistory as the Ministry of Education which is responsible administration, has not been taken over. In this regard Bolufer regretted the abandonment of the regional government in educational infrastructures Xàbia especially those with structural problems and rehabilitate outstanding background as Graüll Public School and Vicente Tena.

Despite all these problems, the number of enrollments is very similar to other years and the 1850 students enrolled are distributed in municipal schools: El Graüll with 393 students, Arenal public school 380 students, Vicente Tena with 376 students, the Trenc d'Alba with 232 students, the Port of Xàbia with 228 students and the concerted María Inmaculada with 241 students.
