More than 1000 people participated, yesterday Sunday, in the II March for Life. A solidarity walk organized by the Xàbia Cancer Fight Association with the aim of raising money for cancer research.
Specifically it has been 1.003 people who have contributed their grain of sand, which has made a total of 5.015 euros. To this amount are added other 2000 euros raised by the Festival Committee of Loreto through the sale of raffle of the picture painted by the neighbor of Duanes, Irene Iglesias and gave rise to the cover of the party book of this 2019.
La II March for Life was attended by the Minister of Science, Pedro Duque, the Councilor for Health, Rita Berruti and Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi. The tour was through the area of Duanes de la Mar and the Arenal as it had exit from Jaume I Avenue, followed by Los Fueros Avenue, Ausias March Avenue, Verona Street and I Montañar and back to the port.
The organization showed its satisfaction and gratitude to the great response of the public. For his part, Duque said that Spain is a pioneer in the cure of cancer "And today's march is a small contribution that makes Spain great."
The president of Xàbia Port, Cande Ros, thanked the participation of all the collaborators since the walk had a warm-up session by Judith Gutiérrez, the performance of the students and teachers of the Salomé Rodríguez de Jávea Dance Studio and the raffle of several products among the participants.
