The run and walk against AIDS that was held in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell managed to bring together close to 150 participants who, with their contribution of 3 euros when buying the solidarity shirt, made it possible for the Department of Servicios Sociales from this municipality will collect 340 euros that will go to the Foundation for the fight against AIDS.
The trekking race ran through the surroundings of the municipality on a pleasant route that passed through els Pous de l'Abiar. In this way, the runners could enjoy the rural beauty of vineyards on a sunny morning.
Pastor Vicente Ferrer and Miriam Gil won the race as runners with a time of 22 minutes. Juan Vicente Pascual emerged as winner of the walk.
The Department of Social Services also awarded medals for participating children.
