The El Poble Nou de Benitatxell City Council, the Benitatxell Base Soccer School and the Benitatxell Soccer Club have made official the collaboration agreement through which the council contributes an economic amount (15.000 and 10.000 euros, respectively) to finance the management of the clubs during the 2020/2021 season.

The agreement was signed by the mayor, Miguel Ángel García, the Sports Councilor, Toni Colomer, the school director, Celso Alcázar, and the president of the amateur club, Iván García.

Good figures

Despite the Covid-19 crisis and the limitations in terms of sporting events, it is being a good year for Benitatxell football. With only three months of life and eight league days, the amateur club accumulates 4 victories, 3 draws and only one defeat, a fact that places them third in the classification of their Second Regional group, tied at 15 points with the CEF The Verger and below the CD Jávea B. A great success given their short history as a team.

The numbers of boys and girls enrolled in the Escuela de Fútbol Base are also record-setting. This 2020/2021 season a total of 110 boys and girls have been enrolled, double that of last year, when there were 55 enrolled.

"We are making a great effort to bet on an offer and quality sports facilities. With the change in sports management and the improvements that will gradually materialize in the sports facilities, we will make the sport of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell a great reference "García and Colomer have pointed out, who recalled that the medium-term aim is to concentrate all the offer in a modernized sports center adapted to current needs. "Shortly, when we have the more defined projects, we will announce the improvements that are going to be carried out in the facilities", They have advanced.
