The organizers of the New Year's solidarity bath in the Arenal of Javea, the owners of Lancashire Bruge, have been greatly surprised by the reception of the event on January 1st. This appointment is already a tradition in Xàbia and on this occasion "it almost covers the entire coast from one end to the other", both for the participants and for the attending public.
Although Lancashire Witch assures that they are still counting the amount collected, for the moment the figure amounts to more than 2.500 euros. This collection will go to Red Cross Xàbia and people with dementia or Alzheimer's.
To achieve their goal, the organizers enlisted numerous collaborators: sponsored swimmers Stephen, Adam "Mr Tumble", Emma "Mimis Hairdressers", Rick, Mal, Lisa F., Becky & Maria, Helen B, Jean W. & Lisa C. .; Humpty Dumpty Nesagents, the Witch "Swearing Jug" or "Santa's Elves" Sue, Tina, Mary, Jane, Claire and Ann; in addition to other associations that attended the event.
