This next weekend will be held at the Arenal Beach From Xàbia el Autonomic Championship Beach Tennis. The presentation of this sporting event took place at the town hall xabiero with the presence of the mayor, José ChulviThe mayor of Sports, Vicent Colomer And Jose Bas, organizer of the comxicotetion.
Sports councilor Vicent Colomer said that "This year, this championship has a greater impact, there are more inscriptions and this is vital for Xàbia. To conjugate tourism with sport in a place as emblematic as the Arenal Beach is positive". Colomer added that "The fact of having more federated players increases the level of the comxicotetion, the same thing happens with the increase of amateur players".
The organizer of the tournament, José Bas, thanked the City Council for the support that has been providing tennis for four years, a sport that already has more than 500 federated and has a significant growth. In the Valencian Community there are already five clubs that increase the number of players.
From the organization everyone is invited to enjoy the tournament that will start on Friday 4, with amateur and mixed parties. On Saturday 5, from 10 in the morning to 20: 30 hours, there will be games of mixed and amateur category. On Sunday 6, the scale is multiplied with people coming from the Valencian Community and from Madrid with a very high level. The amateur finals will be played from the 17 hours and the federated ones to the 18 hours.
Mayor, José Chulvi, Commented that "In a moment of maximum tourist occupation and maximum activity, this championship is a great opportunity to enjoy the spectacular sport and at night of the Xàbia Jazz". Chulvi also noted that "Is a little of the sample that is Xàbia, not only offers landscape, beach, sun and gastronomy, but also seeks to give alternatives to the people who come to enjoy the holidays with us".
Seven tracks will be set up
For this regional appointment with the beach tennis four tracks will be mounted for federated players, next to the Fontana channel and two for amateurs. In addition to a clue "Fan"in which anyone can participate for free.
Entries for the comxicotetion, priced at 20 euros per player, remain open until Wednesday 2 August at night. Registration includes drinks and physiotherapist service, welcome gift and gift raffle.
