Undoubtedly, this 2021, continues to be an atypical year in terms of the celebration of the holidays. For the second year in a row, and because of the pandemic, Duanes de la Mar does not live its patron saint days as it should be, although the essence remains.
The color of the decorated streets, the decorated balconies and the cutlery Hanging and the celebration, in a different way, of the main acts of the festivities in honor of the Mare de Déu de Loreto, make the fishing district relive good times.
During the day today, with the realization of the Offering of flowers, in a staggered way, neighbors, clubs and festive commissions are approaching until the Parish of the Sea to offer his offering of flowers to the Virgin.
The 125th anniversary of these festivities undoubtedly symbolize the continuity by tradition and customs of Xàbia and above all, of Duanes de la Mar.
