A little over a month ago, two young people from Xàbia, Javier Expósito and Fernando Manzanares, started a funding campaign to build drinking water wells in villages in Senegal. And the solidarity of the citizens has made the illusion for this project a reality.

The participation and delivery of the neighbors contributing drops of water has managed to collect a total of 1848.87 euros for the construction of the wells, through the two collection channels that were launched, the virtual platform Kukumuki and the several piggy banks distributed by the shops of the municipality of Xàbia.

Likewise, 610,87 € has been collected through the piggy banks. The net total of 1795,90 €, of which € 1760 € have reached Senegal after the commission charged of 35,90 € by Western Union.
