During the afternoon of Sunday, hundreds of people participated in the Jesus Nazareno descent procession. The parishioners accompanied the image of Jesus Nazareno and La Dolorosa from the Calvary Chapel to Church of St. Bartholomew where it will remain until next May 3.
In addition to the great success of the procession, the parish also showed a full house. This religious event is part of the beginning of the festivities in honor of Jesús Nazareno taking place between the end of the month April and beginning of May.
In the acts of these religious festivals include the exhibition of May crosses made and expressed by the overseers of this 2017. Also this year, festivals celebrate the anniversary 250 arrival of the image of Jesús Nazareno to Xàbia, so the brotherhoods are preparing a special program.

Very beautiful and emotional procession yesterday, the descent of the Nazarene! My congratulations to the two pastors, D. Salvador and D. Fernando, as well as other participating authorities with the Mayor in front of them. And indeed, the parish of St. Bartholomew was packed; illuminated the maximum and looking its best.
