Last December 16, many athletes from Xàbia, belonging to Llebeig Athletics Club participated in the race XIV Mitja Marató Serra d'Oltà that passed through the municipality of Calpe.
Organized by the Grup de Muntanya de Calp, on this occasion, the test was also integrated into the I Circuit Trail the Marina, consisting of 11 races, which started last November's 4 with the Bernia Moscatell Trail of Xaló.
This race, composed of two modalities, walkers and runners, was to make the distance of 17,5 km for walkers (march) with a difference of 750 meters and 21 km with a difference of 1000 meters for the runners.
Among the runners were the Xabieros, Julio Almazán, who used a 2 time: 07: 16; Francisco Javier Serrat Fernández who reached the finish line with a 2 time: 04: 24. Jorge Ferrándiz Alemany made a time of 2: 34: 56 and Cristóbal Buigues Buigues, who also participated, could not finish the race.
Also, Juanjo Vallés registered a time of 2: 02: 47. Moncada 2: 17: 52 and Rolf Jong 2: 18: 21
