Xàbia tenders the beach bars and beach services for the next four summers

May 12 from 2022 - 14: 29

El Javea Town Hall has opened the tender for seasonal services for the beaches of the municipality. Three beach bars distributed in the area of the first Montañar and the concession of the rental of hammocks and umbrellas on the beaches of La Grava, Arenal, Cala Barraca y granadella, as well as two rental points for nautical sports equipment (paddle surf boards or canoes in Benissero and scooters in Arenal).

Those interested in competing have 15 calendar days (until May 27 at 14:XNUMX p.m.) to submit their economic and technical proposals solely and exclusively by electronic means through the tool for preparing and presenting offers on the Sector Contracting Platform. Public.

The main change in this beach plan -which is endorsed by Costas- is the reduction of beach bars (the previous call offered 5 and now there are 3) and the specification of the temporality in which each service can be active.

Thus, the beach bars will be able to set up from May 1, the nautical rental points from June 1 and the hammocks (with the exception of the Arenal where partial occupation will be allowed from May) will already be installed on July 1.

The starting prices of the services have been updated, set at 15.000 euros for the beach bars (which may occupy a maximum of 20 m2 of kiosk + 50m2 of terrace), 6.000 for the Benissero nautical point and 25.000 for the Arenal scooters) and between 6.000 and 150.000 for umbrellas (based on the square meters occupied and the units to be rented).

The award criteria will be (out of 100 points), 60% in economic offer, 10% for the project and 30% in service improvements, such as available toilets or warehouses, selective waste collection system or mechanisms for the collection of cigarette butts -in the case of beach bars- and showers, toilets, selective waste management in
nautical services and hammocks.

The conditions of the award establish a series of general obligations for businesses. Among the essential ones, that the safety and health measures are complied with and that all personnel linked to employment will be duly registered and insured.

There are also those related to image, hygiene and good coexistence, from the obligation to clean the occupied area daily and manage waste, avoiding bad odors or nuisances to the neighborhood, to the specific prohibition of permanently storing materials within the allotment area so that the image of the environment is degraded or disfigured.

In the case of the beach bars, it is requested to use materials and colors integrated into the environment, to ensure that the activity of the facilities generates noise and inconvenience to the neighbors and users of the beach and not to hold events with live music.

It seems to me that in Javea there are already enough bars to give out chiringuito licenses. Accumulation of cigarette butts, chemical waters by means. How to buy an apartment for the holidays and the 15 days you come they put a beach bar in front of you.
Do you want more work? More inspections and contracting illegalities would surface.
Locals that pay all year round are harmed in the middle of the campaign by beach bars that do not meet the minimum.
    BEACH BARS NO. THANK YOU.

You are wrong, there are many of us who enjoy the beach bars and they are always full. They do not stop building houses and bars and beach bars less and less. no services

  2. Carmen says:

If 7 stores in the sand are closed and those in the first Montañar are reduced, what is going to be promoted is more bottled water, which implies more dirt on the beach and in the streets.
And of course fewer jobs that will happen to English the unemployment lists.
He believed that the City Council should assess these issues.

The slides on the beach take away a lot of space between that and the entrance and exit of the boats we are left with half a beach. Couldn't they change location some year? Every time they have more space for the bañiez

  4. Manuel Andres says:

The reduction in the number of beach bars as well as the award criteria (service improvements, etc.) seem to me to be two excellent pieces of news. Congratulations to the City Council for this management.

Because the majority of bars and restaurants in Javea do not have adapted toilets for the disabled, some clearly lack space in the premises, others have no space and neither, some are humble and the expense would be too much, others are high class and They could do it without any more problems, it is clear that in Javea there is no health inspection because some toilets are disgusting.
I am going to propose an idea to see if it moves the consciences of all the parties involved, of course, and it is easy to execute and also economical.
Why not put a simple support bar next to the toilet bowl and it would help a lot to those of us who, being disabled, can go to eat sometimes and we do not do it because our health forces us to have a toilet nearby.
      THANK YOU ALL.

  5. Vecino says:

There brave, first we close some premises and then we reduce the bars but best of all that the City Council offers courses in hospitality to train waiters but if we are closing and reducing bars and premises what is the point?
    Those of progress call themselves.
