The Municipal Sports Council starts rolling in Xàbia. On Tuesday, November 8, the constitutive session of this participatory and consultative body will take place, which will favor the contribution of sports clubs and agents in the planning policies and promotion of physical activity and sports at the local level. .
Councilor for Sports, Alberto Tur, explained that this coming Tuesday, at 19:00 p.m., in the plenary hall, all the members of the Consell will take office, including five local athletes of recognized worth and who are David Ferrer (tennis player), Rafael Andarias (adapted sailing sailor), Julia Miñana (candle), Irene Bolufer (athletics) and María Cardona (handball). There will also be five spokespersons chosen by the sports entities and who will be the presidents of the Llebeig Xàbia Athletics Club, Xàbia Excursionist Center,
Basketball Club Joventut Xàbia, Jávea Tennis Club y Club Handbol Xàbia.
Likewise, the political parties, the School Council, the private companies of the sector in Xàbia and the Sports coordinator of the Town hall. The sessions will be open to any interested person, although only members have the right to vote.
Tur has ensured that, once the entire costly administrative and creation phase has been overcome, the Consell de l'Esport takes center stage and will be a key body to set the policies for the promotion of sport in Xàbia and a very useful interlocutor for the council in an area such as sports, which in our municipality is very rich, diverse and mobilizes hundreds of neighbors of all ages.
