The Department of Sports of Xàbia has opened the department to citizen participation and strategic planning.
As explained by the councilor responsible for the area, Alberto Tur, has begun to analyze in depth the sports system of the population to focus on which are its main assets and the deficits that it carries.
To this end, the department recently summoned all the sports entities of the municipality and the physical education teachers of the educational centers to inform them of the challenges in which work has begun and to carry out a workshop. Among the first objectives is to agree and work together in the drafting of an ethical code and a regulation that defines the use of municipal sports facilities.
They also transferred the intention of the Consistory to implement a survey on sports habits and healthy lifestyles at school age and to be carried out during school hours.
Tur has advanced his intention to formalize a Municipal Sports Council in which all proposals coming from clubs and entities that work for the sport in Xàbia can be channeled and discussed.
