The City Council of Xàbia has recovered one of the term crosses that formerly served to mark the boundaries of the municipality. It is the one located in La Plana and that sets the delimitation between Xàbia and Dénia.
The patrimonial element, carved in rough stone, has been made by the local artisan company Artosca, and thanks to the consultation of old photographs, it reproduces the design of the last cross that marked this border, with a shield of the village as the main ornament.
This cross disappeared in the 80s and with its replacement, the Consistory recovers the 16 existing ones in symbolic points of the municipal term, from which they mark the boundaries or the old doors that accompany the hermitages of conquest or the Avenc.
