Juan Bautista Soler Blasco was a person who promoted several cultural projects in Xàbia. He was mayor of the town in the 70s and in addition to being a painter he was a cultural activist. Some of the projects that he carried out and that represent a great heritage for Xàbia is the archaeological museum and the Public Library.

But in addition, Soler Blasco wrote a story entitled Sharpa in which he narrated his friendship with his dog. Now, from the Town hall, after having dedicated a monographic exhibition to vindicate his facet as a painter and cultural activist, presents the work he wrote.

Sharpa It has been edited by the municipal water company, Amjasa, within the commemorative actions by the 40 anniversary of its foundation. And it is that, Soler Blasco, promoted the creation of Amjasa when he was mayor and was the first president of the entity. This publication also has the collaboration of the Cirne Foundation.

Sharpa is presented this Friday, December 15, in the multipurpose room of the Museum, at 19 hours. The mayor will be there, José ChulviThe councilman of Culture, Quico Moragues, and the philologist Paco Reus, who has been in charge of ordering and translating the manuscripts of Soler Blasco, giving shape to "An almost true story between a dog and its owner", or what is the same, a story dedicated to the friendship between a man and his pet.

The assistants will be given a copy of this work.
