The Department of Agriculture Javea Town HallDirected by Tere Bisquert, has organized in collaboration with the Local Development Agency of Creama Xàbia a training course to obtain a license to manipulate
pesticides for phytosanitary use (basic level).
The mayor of Agriculture has indicated that "This course is intended to provide the information and training necessary to reduce the risk to both the health of pesticide applicators and to consumers and the environment."
The workshop, which is made up of two sessions, will be held on Monday, March 12 and 26, from 15:30 p.m. to 20 p.m., at the House of Culture. Those interested in taking the course must formalize their registration at the Creama office before March 9. The price of the training is 50 euros.
The basic level of the course is aimed at auxiliary personnel of land and air treatments with pesticides for phytosanitary use and individuals who use them in their own facilities, establishments or agricultural and forestry without employment of auxiliary personnel, and using pesticides that are not generate gases by chemical reaction, classified as toxic or very toxic, according to the provisions of Royal Decree 255 / 2003.
