Xàbia has a special forest monitoring operation and lifeguard service for this Holy Week

The Department of Public Safety and Prevention of Emergencies of Xàbia has prepared a special device for forest monitoring and security for the days of Holy Week. Since Monday, the Local Police has already dedicated a specific patrol to control the areas of greatest risk and starting tomorrow, Thursday, a Civil Protection crew equipped with a motor-driven pump will be commissioned to carry out surveillance tasks from 10 to 21 hours during all holidays.

The operation will serve to strengthen prevention and rapid response capacity in case of emergencies, and is planned in coordination with the local fire station, since this past Monday two container fires were registered due to the discharge of barbecue embers still lit .

However, the Local Police calls on citizens to exercise prudence and ask that they do not light fire or pyrotechnic material in areas of risk and that the recommendations or indications of those in charge of forest monitoring in the zones are met. public or leisure.

Other devices that have been put in place are security, coordinated by the Local Police, and surveillance in the Arenal Beach, which during 11 to 19 hours has three lifeguards, an ambulance and a boat on 29, 30 and 31 days in March, 1 and 2 in April and 7 and 8 in April. Add that the Arenal doctor's office is also giving service during Holy Week from Monday to Friday from 10 to 18 hours and on Saturdays from 10 to 15 hours. Outside these hours, emergencies will be addressed at the health center of the Plaça de la Constitució de Xàbia.
