A beach bar in Xàbia among the best on the Forbes 2022 list

August 06 from 2022 - 06: 59

The well-known Forbes magazine, specialized in the world of business and finance and which arouses so much interest with its listings, has included Xàbia in its latest publication.

On this occasion, Forbes, in its 'Tapas' edition, has drawn up a list of the 25 best beach bars in Spain and among them two from the Marina Alta appear, one of them from Xàbia. Is about 'The NAP', Located in the First Montañar Beach, in Avenida del Mediterráneo, 27.

Without a doubt, the beach bars are a summer classic, the soul of the meeting between friends or the place to end the day. Being on the seafront, listening to the waves or feeling the breeze is the best moment of relaxation, either to enjoy on vacation or to be after a long day of work.

The Siesta It is a beach bar of all life, one of the first that was born in the Benissero beach, although over the years it has become one of the fashionable places. And it is that, despite being a beach bar, "it has all the luxuries that any good restaurant or winery can have," says the Forbes publication. La Siesta opens every day of the week from 9:00 a.m. to closing, so its cuisine is non-stop. "His menu is endless and travels from breakfast to dinner" offering a wide variety of dishes, says Forbes.

In addition, unlike others, La Siesta boasts a chill out area, live music and a place to hold events. Hence, Forbes magazine has chosen him, for his entire career, as one of the best in Spain and Antena 3 echoed this in its program Espejo Público.

But as we mentioned, another municipality in the Marina Alta sneaks into this list with another of the 25 best beach bars in Spain, this one is in Dénia and is The Sunshine Baths located on the beach of Les Deveses.

Bearing in mind that foreigners have no idea that the word chiringuito exists and what it means, bearing in mind that for them Spanish gastronomy is limited to «Tapas». Well, very well that Forbes says it or whoever. Total to come here and ask for "una servesa pog favorrrrr" , this with a bit of luck, whoever is more adventurous and decides to make the effort to communicate in Spanish, because you don't have to be very demanding either.

  2. Pere says:

It's clear to me that those at Forbes in finance will know, but about beach bars I have no fucking idea if they classify these two places among the best in the world. Los Pazos once had some attraction, but with the latest reforms they left it frankly shabby and unattractive. La Siesta is a poor quality and expensive restaurant, without proper documentation and that should have been closed for a long time, but Slama has good contacts with him. The only thing that saves both sites is their location, everything else is not worth it... at all.

  3. Lalo says:

I think the true essence of what the beach bar is has been lost. These are restaurants, and they should be called what they are. A beach bar is a casual place, where you go and eat something or drink and go back to your beach solo. If you need a reservation, it is not a beach bar.

I think the spirit of the beach bar has been lost. A chiringuito is a place where you just walk up to for a quick fix during your beach day. Bottom line, if you need a reservation, that is not a beach bar. Call it for what it is. To restaurant.

  4. Pu... Chungui says:

A lot of pride for those who are not envious, but it is a place that lives from resource to resource because the council of geniuses that we have, experts only in SHIT (throw it in the sand, let it burst in the riverbed, with wipes by the Montañar...) He doesn't care about protecting this place like he did protect the Montgo di las Pilotas or the rude and resentful Tangó, who stole the best beach in Jávea from us and block a right of way with three pairs of noses.

    • Sandra says:

I hope that one day a ruler will arrive in Jávea who has more than one neuron, hopefully, and who will destroy that bar, enabling the entire area to be enjoyed by everyone.
I find it hard to find the word to define the existence of that bar in that place.

We have been enjoying Chulvi's progressive policy for more than ten years, that is, ending Jávea at all costs, no matter what.

  5. José Manuel says:

It seems unbelievable that you talk like this about this jewel that we have in Jávea and I have been going for years and enjoying its menu and I wait like in all the other cafeterias and if the price bothers you so much, do not go and go to any bar to have breakfast and eat of menu. It seems unbelievable that you are not proud to leave the Siesta in that world-famous magazine.

    • cat says:

      You are the cook, right?

    • Hel says:

Envy is very bad. Small town, big hell.
Here if you are not a voter you do not count. More taxes than in Valencia. They have removed a sense of traffic from Avd. Del Mediterráneo and have painted it green. Of course, neither a public service, as said, nor a tree to take shelter when you return from the beach.
Neither the Montgo di nor the Siesta bother anyone and they serve all the vacationers who pay taxes.

  6. Leo says:

It is called the Siesta because it gives you time to take it until they serve you.
And another one that you lie waiting for a waiter to serve you in whatever...
20 minutes, by the clock, to give me a fork.
Go and enjoy the account, hahahaha,
    HOW ARE THEY HAPPENING!!!

    • piu says:

I was waiting for two hours to eat, they said a dj was coming for the Dutch, let them stay with them, forever, we went to Mo go di Bongo, and great, I'm not going back to La Siesta, go panda

  7. here says:

La Siesta is not a beach bar.
La Siesta is a HUGE restaurant, facing the sea.
Very vulgar food and service, I don't understand that deification, everything is very vulgar, customers go because "they think they have to go", when they leave there they realize the mistake.
There are possibly 300 places in Jávea with better service, and that eat better, cheaper than Siesta.

  8. Cris says:

Yes, of course, La Siesta is a beach bar and Salones Carrasco is a tavern. They should extend it a little more towards the sea so that this piece of beach is theirs, squatting in Spain is completely protected. They almost, almost left him without comxicotetion in the entire Montañar, coincidences...

    • Francisco says:

The siesta has been in Jávea longer than most of the negative commenters in this chat. It is a benchmark in the town and one of the few clean things that remain and it is thanks to the private management of the company that runs it along with other restaurants that bring employment and prosperity to Jávea, unlike this shitty town hall (literal) that we have As a citizen of Jávea, I fully understand that it is news that more than one redneck from the town and the town hall has felt terrible about... that is why hiding the news in the title of it... what a shame, Jávea has been raised by businessmen who already do 50 years came to work and not the locals who were already causing problems and continue to flee from that idea, Jávea without the native would be just another town. And it is the locals who are destroying the town with their nationalist ideas. You go to western Benidorm, how clean it is,
The care of the streets and gardens… how envious!! Calle Augusta, Calle Génova... abandoned... Why talk about tosalet, about the sandbank, it's a shame how everything is.
And we continue accusing foreigners… but when in March there is bite in the streets, when in January the beach appears full of shit from the toilets, is it their fault? Prohibiting going to the coves is the only thing they know, but providing services and improvements is nothing. Of course, next week we will present the I don't know what milk parties and some new public employment so that you can play mobile while there is a queue to serve you.
