This past weekend the Spanish Trail Running Championship took place. The CA Llebeig athletes, Ana González and Nasio Cardona, each in their category, participated in the race and managed to get on the podium.
González, in the U20 category, disputed the Spanish Trail Running Promotion Championship in Canfranc, together with a total of 32 athletes who competed in the U18 and U20 categories and became the first national champions. The Xabiera was third, so it took the bronze medal to Xàbia.
For his part, Nasio Cardona got second position in the Vertical Climb Trail Running Championship of Spain held in Palencia. The start was from Cardaño de Arriba and went through trails and tracks that allowed athletes to search for fast rhythms. The second part of the race was a more technical circuit in which the speed was drastically reduced, while the distances were widened.
