The sailor of Club Nautico de Javea, Arantza Reig, has been proclaimed regional champion of the category of Optimist B, in the last race played at the Costa Blanca Yacht Club in Alicante.
Reig was the first of the girls to be in sixth place overall. In total, the CN Jávea sailor achieved 46 points
Among the 122 sailors who participated in the Championship, they also went with Reig, Ángel Poveda, Joel Ferrer, Álvaro Vallés, Lucy Crosbie, Joan Cardona, Ignacio Moratal and Kevin Lenis.
Of all of them, Poveda and Ferrer recorded the best results when they were among the first 25 (20 and 23) respectively.
The race was disputed with very variable conditions, the day 4 the wind reached the gusts of 20 knots, while the next day Eolo decided not to make an appearance, but finally reached the 8 knots and allowed to complete the 3 sleeves planned.
After the regional championship, the season concludes for the Optimist B fleet of the Club Nautico de Javea. A season in which the youngest of the Sailing School have improved race after race, which is proof of the potential they hold.
But for those who do not finish it is for Reig and Poveda who will participate in the next two races of the Optimist A class, in preparation for the passage, next season, to this class.
