Benitatxell Social Services delivers the first food vouchers to vulnerable families

February 10 from 2021 - 12: 57

The department Servicios Sociales of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, after a previous evaluation, delivered this past Monday, the first 27 checks so that boys and girls, together with their parents, can enjoy a delicious pizza (lasagna or cannelloni) in the purest Italian style.

In total, six vulnerable families in the town have benefited and have already received their food vouchers to exchange them at the Antiquary Pizzeria Restaurant.

It is a solidarity initiative from the owners of Hernani Homes and Restaurante Pizzería Antiquary, who have partnered to offer 100 food menus to those who need it most. With the donation of 1.000 euros from Michiel Maarten, the culinary art of Tono Caballer and the monitoring of the Social Services area, a total of 100 residents will be able to enjoy a menu valued at 10 euros.

At first, the initiative was designed to go to the restaurant for lunch or dinner, but now, until the restrictions are prescribed by Covid-19, the beneficiaries of the vouchers must call and request the takeaway from Friday to Sunday.

In the coming weeks, the rest of the vouchers will be delivered little by little.
