The Arenal de Xàbia beach reopens

29 July 2023 - 13: 12

El Javea Town Hall has proceeded to reopen the Arenal Beach since the analyzes of the General Directorate of Water are correct. Along the same lines are the analyzes that the City Council itself has commissioned from a private company as part of the plan of measures agreed a week ago to find out what causes temporary water contamination.

It should be remembered that the beach raised the red flag on Friday morning after certifying that the water contained altered levels of contamination. It was the third time this had happened in the last month. The contamination data was announced by the company hired by the City Council on Thursday night, so they quickly proceeded to inform the General Directorate of Water. This one again carried out an analysis of that polluted water sample and ordered the closure of the beach.

Now, after 24 hours of closing, it reopens with all the optimal data and safety for the bathroom. The Consistory continues to work to find out what causes this temporary episode of contamination.

  1. Julian says:

Whoever wants to demonstrate should do so, I don't care if Chulvi, the other one, or her grandmother is there, this is getting worse in every way, not only is it not normal for the beach to be polluted, there are also saturated coves, the local police that cannot cope according to them and they do not come when you need them... there are already many things and you could have considered this a long time ago, before granting all those wonderful licenses to build

    • Salvador says:

The licenses that Chulvio signed for 12 years without stopping, he himself proclaimed it as a triumph, now it's a problem, NOW?
The pollution of the sea, saturation of the beaches, the null police presence, also during these last 12 years have created the chaos of today.
But strangely is it NOW? when it is necessary to demonstrate, I already tell you, curious, very curious...

  2. Former tourist from Javea says:

I go to Javea every year 2 or 3 times, but it's over, I prefer to play it safe and stop in Denia.
In July we were caught by the closure of the beach after bathing in the shit the day before.
We discussed it with people from Javea and worst of all, they didn't give it any importance. We left the next day.

We will take time to return, we do not trust.

  3. Vicente says:

Mojitos can be sold on that beach.

  4. Salvador says:

Curious that in the last 12 years of Chulvi as mayor, with the same problem, there was not so much desire to demonstrate.
    Very curious.

    • Luis says:

      It is…very curious.

    • Encarna Sanchez says:

I have my second residence in Javea 27 years ago and I found out about the Treatment Plant, because there were water cuts. From then on, construction began like crazy and these are the consequences and lack of services of building without infrastructures. As far as I know, because I was here, this exploded in Easter 2022 and according to what they said the Emissary had broken. I don't care who governs, because when I came the pp. This is indecency, playing with people's Health.

  5. Observer. JVF says:

I think we will agree that the new municipal corporation cannot be held responsible for the existing problems and that we have been suffering in Javea for so many years, since they have been in charge of the mayor's office for a little more than a few weeks. They can only be blamed for not knowing how to handle the media to hide their limitations as far as possible, a virtue that the previous corporation with the one in the photos in front had.

  6. pinosol says:

Il faudrait peut être beginr par l'assainissement de toutes ces urbanization non règlementaires ?????un siècle de retard !!!

  7. Luis says:

That they close the beach and the tourists demonstrate.

  8. Teresa says:

I think that what we should do is let off steam with our comments, it would be good if we all got together and had a big demonstration, rather than skip everyone so they know how they work here, because now only with the ibis that they collect from all of us would be enough to be able to solve it, and remember this started this year, they have had a whole course to solve it. It's a shame the kind of politicians we have

    • Salvador says:

Curious that in Chulvi's last 12 years as mayor, with the same problem, you didn't want to demonstrate so much.
      Very curious.

  9. A Year Round Resident in El Arenal Javea says:

Please, stop making this type of news omitting the whole truth due to the contamination of the waters of the Arenal beach. We can understand that they will have a grant from the city council but from there to not even trying to question the real problems that the completely obsolete sand treatment plant has, it already seems to me, a lack of respect for the intelligence of its readers.

  10. Incarnation Sanchez says:

Alomejo we would have to promote a massive concentration, the same thing was done and faster.

    • Luis says:

The massive concentration is already on the beach sunbathing and bathing.

    • Vecia Xavia says:

Now if not? Now to the street, and when was Chulvi? ALL QUIET

      • Xabienc says:

That, that. Now to demonstrate and with Chulvi keep quiet everyone and swallow the shit from the waters of the Arenal. Now I understand so many people in the clinic to be given pills against diarrhea.

    • Salvador says:

Curious that in Chulvi's last 12 years as mayor, with the same problem, you didn't want to demonstrate so much.
      Very curious.

  11. emilio echpare says:

When we began to spend the summer in Jàvea and to bathe in the Arenal you were in the water and the poop and pads floated over you (there were no tampons at that time) I just turned fifty-seven years old.
    That fifty-seven years ago.

    So how does it sound...

    • Incarnation Sanchez says:

Well, I have had my house for 27 years and I have never known, otherwise I would not have bought my second home, I love its crystalline waters and the non-crowding of buildings. This has changed and I don't know if I'm interested in being here, to think that my grandchildren cannot bathe on the beach due to contracting gastroenteritis due to fecal water, it worries me a lot. We pay very expensive taxes to be like this, which is done with the money that is collected on the receipt and according to it, it is for the Sewer?

  12. Juan Carlos says:

They don't believe it or fed up with wine, they don't fool us

  13. barts people says:

What about the promise of the VOX candidate, (today governing), that he assured in the campaign, that if that happened to them, the problem would be fixed "immediately"?

    • Luis says:

That shows that what they say has no value. Look for the vote and point. On the other hand, the fact that such a statement was believed, regardless of the party that comes from, also shows the enormous ignorance of the people.

  14. barts people says:

Do you know anything about why the fish in the canal have died?
What type of contamination is reflected in the analytics and to what degree?

It would be nice if they informed the public, dealing with a public health issue.

P.S; In the channel. at the height of the bridge, it smells bad (today at 12:00 pm)

  15. SNORKELING says:

If we had problems in July, in August it will be worse, because there are more people. By the way, the emissary is no longer talked about? Are the jobs done? Will the machine continue working in the Arenal in August? Let them inform us at least.

  16. SNORKELING says:

We deserve to see the results of the online analysis published. With the exact place where the sample was taken.

  17. Luis says:

They open because it is Saturday and the first day of vacation in August for many. With the number of people who are entering and find the beach closed... and no information about the disastrous quality of the water.

    • chyruca says:

They open because the August holidays begin. Although the level of contamination does not allow bathing, they do not care, it is a shame. Is there no body that takes this issue seriously? I don't understand it, they are playing with something very serious, which is the health of many people
      .

  18. Incarnation Sanchez says:

How can you play with people's health like this? Outrageous

  19. Albert M. says:

    What a shame!!!

  20. touch the nas says:

    who messed up

  21. Carp says:

To the rich little bath in approved shit!

The right amount of shit, for the boy, the girl and the tattooed choni.
