This afternoon, around 14:30 p.m. a fire has been reported in a telecommunications tower located on the plot of Cape San Antonio lighthouse. Apparently there are some workers in the area and when they have returned from eating they have seen the incident.
The deployment of media has been quick and have gone first four cars of Civil Protection, four trucks and a jeep of firefighters, four cars of the local police in Jávea, two cars of the local police in Denia and three cars the civil Guard. These media have also joined a helicopter and a small plane.
Despite the wind that has blown today, the fire has not spread since it is a scrub area and Civil Protection has carried out most of the extinguishing of the fire while the other operations came. So far, the causes that have been able to ignite the sparks of this fire that have been generated at the foot of a telecommunications tower in the area of the lighthouse, near the micro-reserve of flora of the Cape San Antonio.
