Restoration works from the top of the Church of St. Bartholomew They start this week; almost a year after the parish obtained permission from the Ministry of Heritage and Culture.
The parish needs several improvement actions, and more, taking into account that in recent months it has suffered damages in the part of the bell tower due to the inclement weather (lightning struck the ledge and the wind started the clock).
But the action that will be carried out and that are contemplated in the restoration project drafted by the architect Salvador Vila, and are considered emergency, are the sealing of the cracks of the temple, sacristy and chapel of communion since the leaks of water cause humidities and leaks.
For the realization of these works, a large scaffold is being installed around the church, which does not hinder the passage to the Plaza or access to the temple. This action is budgeted for a cost of 500.000 euros.
