Last weekend, Santi Catalá, lived his dream debut. The young man from Xàbia got his first victory in the first fight he performed as an amateur boxer. It was at the Julio Iglesias Auditorium in Benidorm with the Mix Fight martial arts event.
Catalá won the match by unanimous decision of the jury, which was the one who proclaimed Xàbia's as the best of the three three-minute rounds played against Sergio Larrañaga. Undoubtedly, a victory that makes this young 21-year-old boxer grow, belonging to the Boxeo Salud Ondara gym, who is already preparing for his next climb into the ring on October 2 in Sueca.
Santi had, in his debut, the support of friends and family who encouraged him and accompanied him during the evening of the event. Now, he will continue combining his studies to be a National Police with the aim of proclaiming himself boxing champion of the Valencian Community, after discovering that he is passionate about this sport.
