As every year, the Department of Citizen Security and Emergencies of Xàbia deploys the preventive device against fires during the days of Holy Week and Easter.
Civil Protection will be in charge of this extra security reinforcement, carrying out two daily shifts to cover from 10 a.m. to 21 p.m. on the days of April 6 to 10 (from Holy Thursday to Easter Monday) and from April 15 to 17, the Sant Vicent weekend.
The volunteers will be located at points with good visibility to control the municipal area and will also go through areas such as the Pinosol park, close to forest masses, and where many people gather to enjoy Easter in the open air.
From the Security area, caution and citizen collaboration are requested when making barbecues or using rockets, firecrackers or similar and any other device that contains fire.
Another preventive service that has been launched these days is surveillance and first aid in the Arenal Beach. Last weekend the post of this family beach opened and there will also be service from April 6 to 10, from 15 to 17 and during the next long weekend on April 29, 30 and May 1 and 2.
