Last week, two teachers from the Trenc d'Alba school traveled to Invergowrie Primary School, An educational center located in the town of Dundee, Scotland, to see how the process of teaching and learning of languages takes place.
Both the Xàbia and the Scottish school and other European centers in France, the Netherlands, Finland and England are part of the project based on language learning How children learn languages, which is financed with European funds.
Observation of professionals
A few months ago, teachers who are participating in this Erasmus +, visited the educational center xabiero, where they observed how trilingualism is worked in classrooms. Now, these days, during their stay in Scotland, the teachers of all the centers exposed what they learned in the Trenc d'Alba, what techniques seen in the center have been useful and have been applied. The critics were very positive, because they took a very good image of the school and how language learning is treated from its trilingual model.
This visit meant the end of the international mobilities of the project, so on the second day, the different participating centers held an exhibition where they explained everything that has been done around the language learning in the classroom since the beginning of the project.
"We could observe works done by students of different ages such as storytelling, exchange of letters between students from participating countries, videos in which they talked about themselves, murals, etc.", Explained the teachers.
"There were many parents and other people related to the educational community who came to observe the exhibition, commenting on the satisfaction that their sons and daughters go to a center that participates in such projects", the Trenc d'Alba teachers added.
The school Trenc d'Alba has carried out a total of two European projects, on the one hand, the current one Erasmus + And during the 2013 / 2015 years, the project Comenius.
From the Xabiero school they hope to be able to continue working so that they can be awarded many more educational programs in the future, "Well, they turn out to be very enriching for all the educational community and mean being aware of the different pedagogical currents that move through Europe", they affirm from the Trenc d'Alba.
