Last weekend two great musical shows took place in the historic center of Xàbia. On the one hand, the soprano, Montserrat Martí Caballé, daughter of Montserrat, gave a great opera and zarzuela recital, together with the baritone, Luís Santana, inside the St. Bartholomew Church.
The public vibrated with the voices of these two great artists. Martí Caballé received a gift from the Town hall. It is about the photograph of her mother, Montserrat Caballé, the day she visited Xàbia and also performed in the religious temple, 28 years ago now.
On the other hand, the Grup de danses del Portitxol offered the public their latest show of traditional dances, 'Balls al recer del Montgó' in the Plaza de la Iglesia. Clothing and music were the protagonists of this cultural reunion.
