Moha Rida and Sophie Mullins were the winners of the 32nd Volta a Peu Xàbia virtual

In this 2021, the 32 Volta a Peu Xàbia-José Albi Memorial, has been held virtually due to the health situation due to the coronavirus pandemic. A different edition but that has had a great participation. A total of 128 athletes have completed the 10 kilometers of the route, recording their time in the Strava application.

Among the participating athletes, the best were, in the male category, Moha Rida, Mark Tanner and Álvaro Sabater and in the female category, Sophie Mullins, Cristina Roselló e Irene Bolufer.

Of the 71 men who performed the Volta a Peu, Moha Rida recorded a time of 00:32:20, Mark Tanner of 00:32:21 and Álvaro Sabater of 00:36:29. Likewise, of the 57 women, Sophie Mullins reached the finish line in 00:39:50, Cristina Roselló in 00:40:06 and Irene Bolufer in 00:42:58.

From the Llebeig Athletics Club Xàbia, in charge of organizing the event, thanked, through their social networks, the involvement of all athletes and highlighted the almost equal participation, "44% of the total participants have been women."

The Club delivered, during this weekend, the trophies and gifts to the winners in a simple act, at the gates of the Palau Municipal d'Esports 'Miguel Buigues Andrés', complying with all safety and hygiene measures, and in the one that only the winners were summoned.
