The Board of Directors of the Club Náutico offered a talk to more than 200 partners to explain clearly and transparently the situation in which the process of renewing the concession before the Generalitat is.
The event was attended by the president, Arturo Miquel as well as the Board of Directors and the manager. It was Miquel who explained the details of the process, accompanied by a presentation of slides with the most important data and a summary of the events since the law of Ports of the Community was approved, and since the last meeting of partners of the Club Nautico de Javea, in which a report on the situation was already made.
Miquel recalled that in 2014 the Law of Ports of the Valencian Community was renewed and in it there is an article in which it foresees the renewal of the Nautical Clubs can be done automatically. However, after the change of government in the Generalitat, both PSPV and Compromis want to eliminate that article and open a public contest in the areas where the Nautical Clubs of the Region are located.
As explained by the clubs through the Association of Nautical Clubs of the Valencian Community are pressing the Consell not to modify that article, as intended, through an amendment to the Law of Accompaniment of the Budget of the Generalitat in such a way that can renew the concessions because "without the nautical clubs there is no promotion of sports or nautical activities".
The president of Club Nautico Jávea commented that, apart from actions at the political level, with contacts with the parties that support the Consell, (PSPV, Compromís and Podemos), but also with the PP and Citizens, since the Association have prepared a legal battle and that, in fact, a contentious administrative appeal has already been filed in response to the non-response that the Generalitat has given to the renewal requirement presented by the clubs.

Several pressure actions will be developed until the end of the year. Among them, the one that will take place this Friday 11 of December, when "the optimist boats of all the Sailing Schools of the Nautical Clubs of the Region will take the place of Manises to make him see the president of the Consell that they are making mistakes and that this law is going to suppose the disappearance of the promotion of the base sport of sailing and sport fishing, which is done by nautical clubs".
Concession of the Jávea Yacht Club
The concession of the nautical javiense expires in June of 2016 and its president reassured the partners affirming that "from the Conselleria have moved that there will be a moratorium of two years until the call of the hypothetical contest to award it".
However, he stressed that, "We believe that the new law is a mistake, since what it is going to do is privatize something that belongs to everyone at this moment, such as the port of Jávea".
As detailed, the Yacht Club has requested in writing the renewal of the concession in accordance with the Law of Ports of the Comunitat, but the Generalitat has not responded yet, so when the month of June next year arrives it will renew the concession for a term of one year or by semesters.
