The javienses athletes staged the awards ceremony of 20º Circuit a Peu the Marina Alta

José Manuel García Barragan and Mª Isabel Ferrer Castell, athletes belonging to the Club d'Atletisme Llebeig de Xàbia, were the protagonists of the trophy delivery of the 20th Circuit a Peu to the Marina Alta that was held last weekend at the Hotel Dénia Mariott.

Some 200 people attended the event, where the trophies were presented to the best in each category after 12 contested events, with 10 scoring them, and running the Marina Alta race after race.

The director of the Circuit, Juanjo Valles said that this year was the last in office but leaves with the satisfaction of seeing back in the circuit two immportantes towns such as Poble Nou de Benitatxell and Dénia, which have returned to the test after years of absence.

Mª Isabel Castell was rated the best girl in the Circuit a Peu

After an intense evening of trophies and awards, the peak of the evening came with the trophy in the absolute male and female categories, with clear dominance of CA Llebeig Xàbia. Mª Isabel Ferrer, who was competing in the category Veterans participated in the ten races that count and accumulated 9.800 points, still the best fémina of this edition.

José Manuel García, the same club, absolute winner of this edition with 9.799 points won in nine races competing in the Senior Men proclaimed. In the classification of the Llebeig Xàbia clubs he came second, with 107228 points behind the CA Kilometer 42, 109341 a total of points.
